The “Yandex programming school” at the Gyumri Technological Center is a joint project of Yandex and the Enterprise Incubator Foundation. It is for the high school students, who will learn to get the basic skills of the developer.
They will get acquainted with programming using the example of Python, a language that is easy to learn, but it allows solving many problems. This is one of the most popular languages in the world, the application is in Yandex, and, for example, in NASA.
Studying in the School of Programming is free.
The course is developed in the Yandex Data Analysis School (https://yandexdataschool.ru/) and is designed for pupils of 9-11 classes interested in mathematics and information technologies. Duration of the course is one year. Classes are held twice a week at the Gyumri Technological Center. After each lesson, students perform practical assignments. In the group of no more than 14 people, will teach local specialists who have been trained in the company Yandex.
The first half of the year will be devoted to the basics of Python: variables, conditions, cycles, operators, lists and functions. In the second half-year, the children will understand standard and external libraries, as well as get acquainted with object-oriented programming.
The set will open on August 30, 2018, classes will begin in October. To enroll in the School, you need to register on the Center's website, successfully pass the test and interview.
