Enterprise Incubator Foundation and Gyumri Technology Centre in partnership with the Government of Armenia, Gyumri Municipality and the “Support to SME Development in Armenia (EU-SMEDA)’’ project which is co-funded by the European Union and the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by German Development Cooperation GIZ through the Private Sector Development in South Caucasus Programme are organizing “Empowering Regions through High-Tech” forum in Gyumri on December 7-8, 2018.
The primary objective of the forum will be to introduce the success and impact of the initiative to empower regions of Armenia through High-Tech, to initiate new projects and determine milestones for next year.
The conference will launch on December 7th, with 3 main directions executed as panel discussions and presentations: “Strengthening the entrepreneurship ecosystem in the regions”, “Strengthening the start-up ecosystem in the regions”, “Strengthening the main industries in Armenia by applying technological solutions” (connecting tech and non-tech SMEs).
The Forum aims to:
● Present successful experiences, products of startups and companies from the participant regions
● Identify opportunities for regions to be part of the global IT and high-tech network
● Identify new models of cooperation with universities to develop a startup ecosystem and an updated tech curriculum with a practical learning component
● Provide opportunities for tech startups to establish partnerships with non-tech SMEs
