The annual international contemporary art festival “Gyumri Art Week 2024” will be held at the Gyumri Technology Center from August 2 to 12 (the opening of the event will take place on August 2at 7:00 p.m).
Under the theme “City & Beyond,” the festival presents the city and its surroundings as a “complex living organism.” It emphasizes the historical, social, environmental, and cultural frameworks of the city’s development that transform over centuries. The festival will explore the characteristic relationships of cities, inviting artists to address topics such as urban planning, sustainability, architectural layouts and styles, natural landscapes, social structures, and the general idea of interconnections.
This year, within the framework of the festival, the artworks of more than 20 Armenian and international artists working in the media field will be exhibited at the GTC.
