Yesterday, the Gyumri Technology Center (GTC) of the Enterprise Incubator Foundation (EIF) hosted a delegation from Turkmenistan, including Gulalek Volmamedova, Analyst for Management, Economic Diversification, and Inclusive Growth Programs at UNDP Turkmenistan, Azat Atayev, Deputy Minister of Education of Turkmenistan, and Yagmyrguly Garovov, Director of Digital Solution IT Platform.
The delegation arrived in Armenia at the invitation of EIF to study the Armenian experience in developing the high-tech sector and to exchange best practices. EIF provides advisory support to various countries in the field of technology development and is currently assisting UNDP and the Government of Turkmenistan in drafting the modernization strategy for Turkmenistan’s IT Park.
During the visit, the guests toured GTC and learned about its role as a key regional hub in shaping Armenia’s technological ecosystem. They also visited several resident companies, including Synopsys Armenia, Synergy International, Aybben Technology, VOLO, and Improvise, where they explored the companies’ products and technological capabilities.
In addition, the delegation met with participants of GTC’s educational programs – the Yandex Programming Schooland Gamechangers: Earth Mode – and got acquainted with the innovative projects developed by young learners.
The visit highlighted ongoing efforts to strengthen regional collaboration in technology and education and showcased Armenia’s successful model of high-tech ecosystem development.
