Armenian Delegates Join Global Video Games Coalition Launch in Geneva

On November 7, representatives from Armenia participated in the official launch of the collaboration between the Game Changers Coalition and the Global Video Games Coalition (GVGC), held in Geneva, Switzerland. The event marked an important step toward building a more inclusive and forward-thinking global tech and gaming ecosystem.

Among the Armenian delegates were Bella Harutyunyan, Manager of the Gyumri Technology Center (by Enterprise Incubator Foundation), and Nare Tovmasyan, a participant in the Gamechangers: girls for girls initiative.

The new partnership brings together some of the world’s leading gaming companies—including Electronic Arts (EA), Roblox, Sony Interactive Entertainment, and Ubisoft—with the shared goal of empowering young people, especially girls, through technology, creativity, and global collaboration.

During the event, Nare joined young women from other countries involved in the Game Changers Coalition to deliver a joint keynote presentation. She shared how her participation in the Gamechangers: girls for girls program helped shape her career aspirations and strengthened her skills in game development and digital storytelling.

As part of the program’s Game Jam, attendees had the opportunity to explore and play original games created by the girls. These games demonstrated how digital tools and interactive storytelling can be harnessed to tackle real-world social challenges—from climate change to mental health and gender equality.

This event was not only a celebration of global partnership but also a platform to highlight the importance of diversity and youth inclusion in the gaming industry.

The Gamechangers: girls for girls program is implemented by UNICEF and the Enterprise Incubator Foundation (EIF) in collaboration with the Gyumri and Vanadzor Technology Centers. The program is designed to inspire and equip young girls with the skills and confidence to pursue careers in game development and digital innovation.
