British Ambassador John Gallagher Visits GTC, Meets Participants of CyberNinja Camp

On May 16, the Gyumri Technology Center (GTC), operated by the Enterprise Incubator Foundation (EIF), had the honor of hosting H.E. John Gallagher, the British Ambassador to Armenia. The Ambassador’s visit focused on engaging with participants of the CyberNinja Camp, a cybersecurity education program implemented by UNICEF Armenia and EIF, and funded by the UK Government under its international development assistance framework.

During the visit, Ambassador Gallagher met with teenage participants of the program, who showcased their innovative ideas, technological projects, and a series of thematic comics created throughout their training. The students spoke candidly about the program’s impact on their career aspirations, highlighting how CyberNinja Camp inspired many of them to consider careers in technology and digital security.

Through this program, participants have not only gained foundational knowledge in cybersecurity and cyber hygiene, but also embraced reverse learning methods, actively transferring their knowledge to teachers, parents, and peers in various regions of Armenia.

This initiative has empowered dozens of youth across Shirak, Lori, and Syunik, fostering both digital literacy and civic engagement in underserved communities.

The CyberNinja Camp is implemented as part of the broader Cybersecurity Education Program by UNICEF Armenia and the Enterprise Incubator Foundation (EIF), in collaboration with GTC, VTC (Vanadzor Technology Center), and CyHub Armenia. The program engages 12–18-year-old youth from Armenia’s regions, and is funded by the UK Government through the support of the British Embassy Yerevan.
