Every year on April 25, the world celebrates International Girls in ICT Day, a day dedicated to encouraging greater participation of girls and young women in the fields of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). The goal is to break down long-standing stereotypes that have historically limited their career choices.
Unfortunately, even today, many girls abandon the idea of pursuing a tech career early on, believing “technology is for boys.” But the reality is different: ICT is a powerful tool that enables girls to unleash their creative and professional potential.
One important initiative supporting this change is the Gamechangers educational program, implemented by UNICEF Armenia, the Game Changers Coalition, and the Enterprise Incubator Foundation (EIF), in collaboration with the Gyumri and Vanadzor Technology Centers and the Sisian Co-Creation Lab.
Over the past two years, Gamechangers has transformed the lives of many girls in Armenia, helping them dream bigger, think broader, and shape their futures without being confined by outdated societal stereotypes.
Building on this success, the new Gamechangers: Next Level program expands its reach to all youth aged 12–24 living in Armenia, regardless of gender or location. Participants continue to explore the multi-dimensional world of game development, advancing through several learning modules. In just a few months, the next generation of Gamechangers will be ready to showcase the original games they have created.

Registration for the next module, “Cheat Code to the Next Level,” is open until April 28.
