“CG Generalist” Graduation Event Held at GTC in Collaboration with Popok Animation Studio

On April 5, the Gyumri Technology Center (GTC), in partnership with Popok Animation Studio, held the graduation event for the CG Generalist training program, implemented by the Enterprise Incubator Foundation (EIF).

The event marked the culmination of an intensive course where participants explored the fundamentals of computer graphics, 3D modeling, and animation—equipping them with practical skills relevant to the creative tech and gaming industries.

The event opened with welcome remarks from Aghvan Khachatryan, Founder and Director of Popok Animation Studio. This was followed by a keynote speech delivered by Vadzim Soltus from Sperasoft Armenia, who spoke on “The Role of Computer Graphics and 3D Art in Game Development.” His talk emphasized the growing importance of visual storytelling and asset design in the global gaming sector.

The highlight of the event was the exhibition of final student projects, showcasing original character and object designs created during the course. These works are currently on display at GTC’s Co-Creation Lab. The event concluded with a certificate ceremony, celebrating the achievements of the program’s graduates.

Participant Hasmik Sargsyan reflected on the experience:

“This course was a major opportunity for me. The learning process was incredibly engaging, and we were guided by experienced professionals who generously shared their knowledge. I discovered abilities I didn’t even know I had. Creating a character, giving it a story, and seeing the result—this was such a meaningful way to express the skills I gained.”

The CG Generalist course is one of GTC’s many efforts to strengthen creative tech education in Armenia, bridging young talent with industry expertise and hands-on learning experiences.
