On May 14, the Gyumri Technology Center (GTC) of the Enterprise Incubator Foundation (EIF) had the honor of welcoming representatives from the German International Cooperation (GIZ) offices in Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Germany, Bangladesh, and North Macedonia.
The visit was part of two ongoing programs—Private Sector Development and Vocational Education and Training (PSD TVET) and Women’s Empowerment for Wellbeing (WoW)—with the aim of fostering international knowledge exchange. The delegation’s focus was to explore:
- Armenia’s experience in promoting private sector growth and startup development
- Local models for professional education and training in the tech industry
- Inclusive practices supporting the economic engagement of women, persons with disabilities, and displaced populations
During the visit, guests were introduced to GTC’s mission, infrastructure, and ongoing initiatives. Special attention was given to GTC’s educational programs and methodologies, which are designed to prepare youth and professionals for careers in emerging tech sectors.
The delegation also toured the center, engaging directly with several of GTC’s resident companies to gain insight into their work, innovation capacity, and contributions to the regional tech ecosystem.
This visit marks another step in deepening international cooperation and showcasing Gyumri’s role as a regional hub for innovation, inclusion, and workforce development.
