Yesterday, the Gyumri Technology Center (GTC) of the Enterprise Incubator Foundation (EIF) hosted the opening ceremony of the new academic year for the Yandex Programming School, which also marked the conclusion of the previous academic cycle.
The event was attended by Aram Mkhitaryan, Director of Yandex Armenia, Bagrat Yeghiazaryan, Regional Head of Yandex Go in Armenia, and Yeghishe Safaryan, Head of Educational and Engineering Programs at the Vanadzor Technology Center, who addressed the participants with welcoming remarks.
Graduates of the previous academic year received their certificates and presented their final projects, while the newly enrolled students are now beginning a seven-month intensive course. Throughout the program, they will master the Python programming language and develop their own original projects.
Graduates of the Yandex Programming School will later have the opportunity to continue their studies online through Yandex Lyceum, selecting from advanced courses such as Go programming, or specializations in game development, data analysis, machine learning, and web development using Django.
The Yandex Programming School has been implemented since 2017 through close collaboration between Yandex Go and the Enterprise Incubator Foundation. Over the past eight years, the program has produced 475 graduates, many of whom have pursued successful careers in Armenia’s IT sector.
