The exhibition will be held under the “Black Box Hub” at the Gyumri Technology Center (GTC) of the Enterprise Incubator Foundation (EIF) and will showcase the works of 15 interdisciplinary women artists and one male 3D motion designer.
Each participant employs both digital and analog technologies to create pieces that explore, optimize, or subvert reality, navigating around established social systems and the psychological issues they generate.
Digital technology has become an integral part of our daily lives, and this exhibition invites us to view it through the lens of women’s experiences. What might new technologies bring? A source of threat or a means of protection? A tool for self-expression or a form of resistance?
The artists examine how new forms of violence and vulnerability emerge in both real and virtual spaces, while simultaneously discovering innovative ways to fight for freedom and safety.
This exhibition is part of the “Safe Digital Horizons” Hackathon at the Gyumri Technology Center, dedicated to the urgent struggle against technology-facilitated gender-based violence (TFGBV).
In a world where online spaces can become zones of risk, it is crucial to amplify women’s voices to create a safer and more inclusive digital future for us all. Art, like technology, has the power to transform lives and perspectives. To ensure these changes lead us to a new, liberated world—both online and offline—we propose to scan our new reality with the sensitive sensors of the female gaze.
The exhibition will be open at the GTC until October 6th.
